Motherboard: MSI KT266 Pro2 Review :: Conclusion
StabilityStability is the key ingredient that most people want in their motherboard recipe and the KT266 Pro2 delivers the goods to make even the most skeptical user a satisfied customer. Even in a way overclocked state the KT266 Pro2 performed like a champion and came out shining. A very solid and stable product is to be had here. CompatibilityAll the tests run on the board and all the peripherals ran great together. I experienced no strange restarts, Blue screens or other issues with the KT266 Pro2. This is going to be a very serious player in the desktop market as it runs like a banshee on massive caffeine and works well with whatever is put into it. This is a very compatible product with no known problems to speak of. SupportMSI has been a long player in the consumer game and knows who butters their bread. They realize that good customer care is an invaluable tool in winning the minds and dollars of their customers and have taken the appropriate steps to insure quality service is available to their end users. Having a large able staff that cares and websites with most of the updates you will need is just the gravy for a company that really does try to satisfy its users. ConclusionEven though I consider this to be a watered down version of this board it still has the right stuff to be a crowd pleaser. This motherboard would have qualified for a higher score if it would have had more of the features offered on their higher model boards but it still can hold its own as a gamer and overclockers dream board. Overall I liked this board a lot, it had many things about it which were very positive and allowed for a multitude of system enhancements to be made. The ability to change the memory's voltage and CAS delay was a favorite of mine that most users never even play with. This can make a serious difference in the stability of an overclocked system by just a few simple changes in the BIOS. Would I buy this board? Damn straight I would. This is a very good motherboard that should help MSI remain a trend leader. Good job people. Doc Out
