As you can see the performance levels are very good and even with a Duron the system still performs like a smoking gun. All the tests ran fine except SYSmark 2001 which I had to reinstall and run quite a few times to get a complete run. This is the fault of Bapco and not the MSI board. The SYSmark tests needs some serious recoding as this test is the major time hog when doing a review. The system was very stable as an XP 1600+ but it would not totally function in 3Dmark, although Quake III played without any issues so that was strange.

For stability testing we use a couple of different tests. The first is CheckIt 7.0 Pro which tests the motherboard, CPU and memory and is a DOS based test that is utilized by creating a bootable floppy disc that when booted to takes you into the test. Our second test, which is ran continuously for 48 hours just like when you buy a system is Prime 95. Prime pushes the system with a series of tests which make the computer work overtime by working with Prime numbers in a variety of torture tests. Stability on a motherboard is king and that is why we emphasize it so much when doing our testing.
