There were no messy jumpers to be set in the setup as the board is completely Plug n Play and will automatically detect your hard drive, CD and CPU. This works very well and makes initial setup a breeze for even the greenest enthusiast. The boards design allows for all the memory banks to be accessed even with the AGP card in.

For the overclocker this is the dreamer's ball as the KT266 Pro2 offers superior options for tweaking the nature of your CPU. By offering BIOS driven adjustments of the FSB, clock multiplier, Spread Spectrum and both DDR/CPU Vcore functions fine tuned control is in your hands.

I was able to take a 1.2 Duron and overclock it to many different settings including a XP 1600+ which is 200MHz over its core speed and still get rock solid results. There is no such actual processor named a Duron XP 1600+ so you can see the results are very good indeed.

This was done without the BIOS having to be reset on the board if clocked too high. Usually the board will have to be reset manually by shorting a jumper on the board if the system is clocked out of range, but the KT266 Pro2 just restarts to the default settings. This is a wonderful thing for the tinkering types like myself who like things as logical and straightforward as possible.
