Compatibility

The K7VMA worked well with all the parts and software used in this review. There were no system glitches of any type during the subsequent testing and running of this motherboard. There were no compatibility issues found in this review to be listed here.

Stability

Rock solid stability is what I encountered in the running and testing of this motherboard. All system operations were normal and although the K7VMA isn't the quickest board on the block it will run faithfully and keep you going. Don't look for overclocking here though this motherboard is very basic in its FSB and clock frequencies options. This motherboard runs best at its default CPU settings and is better left as it is for stable performance.

Support

You can get to their website here if you need to get the latest drivers, BIOS updates, manuals and general and specific information on both their company and their products. They have good web and telephone service for their customers and I have never received any complaints about them in the forums or by email so they must be doing something right over there.

Conclusion

This is the best budget motherboard to cross my desk in quite awhile it has a lot of features, is very stable and does not cost a pretty penny to obtain one. There really are no negative hardware or software issues with the K7VMA and for the class that it is competing in it is by far a major winner of a product.

Some people might wonder how a low budget motherboard can achieve an Editors choice award. The reason for this is in the target market where this is aimed at it is a stand out motherboard and it can compete with anyone in its class and come out looking good.

The design and the layout are very good and offers no ergonomic hassles in working with it which makes for a virtually stress free installation. The bottom line is this if you want a very straightforward no frills stable motherboard that you can actually afford take a serious look at the K7VMA from ECS. You may just find more than you expected and that is always a plus. Keep up the good work ECS. Until next time.
