MSI uses a slightly modified American Megatrends AMIBIOS for their board. The main menu is split up into Standard CMOS Features, Advanced BIOS Features, Integrated Peripherals, Power Management Setup, H/W Monitor, Green Power, BIOS Setting Password, Cell Menu, M-Flash, and Overclocking profile.

Standard CMOS Features is where the Date and Time are displayed. The detected IDE drives and SATA drives are listed here. Note that if you have the systemís HDDs in RAID 0 Mode the HDDs will not be detected. The System Information screen gives the CPU information, BIOS version and memory status of your system.

Advanced BIOS Features is where the Boot Sequence menu is located, the settings for the onboard graphics and the Primary Graphics Adapter is selected. Integrated Peripherals is where the USB Controller, the LAN, and the USB 3.0 the High Definition Audio, the On-chip ATA Devices and the I/O Device settings are located. The Onchip ATA device is where the RAID array is set.

The Easy OC Switch is an easy to use switch that allows you to overclock your CPU by up to 20% automatically. There are four settings: Default, Add 10%, Add 15% and Add 20%. Using the OC Switch I was able to hit 3.12GHz (20% overclock) with the AMD Phenom II X4 810 without crashing. Upon further testing I was able to hit over 3.3GHz without the system crashing, a 700MHz overclock.

The Cell Menu is where the overclocking and tweaking of the board in the BIOS is done. The Current CPU Frequency, DRAM Frequency and CPU-NB Frequency are displayed on top. There are submenus for the CPU Specifications and Features. There are a wide array of settings in the BIOS for changing frequency and voltages for the CPU, NB, PCIE and DRAM.
