GIGABYTE tends to put their high-end boards in a white box that is much larger than the normal motherboard box and the P55A-UD7 is no exception. The front of the box has the name of the board in the near top center of the box along with a big 7 signifying the Windows 7 support. The 333 Onboard acceleration logo is below the name of the board along with the types of CPU, CrossfireX and SLI support. The bottom right of the board has logos with the various features. The back of the board box has the features listed as well as a description of each feature. A nice touch is the picture of the motherboard with pointers to each feature and area on the board. The inside flap of the box has more features like the Precision OV listed. Opening the box we find that GIGABYTE uses an interior box with the motherboard on top in a plastic tray. Beneath the motherboard tray is a two compartment box containing the accessories, manuals and driver disk for the motherboard. GIGABYTE has really outdone itself with the bundle. The bundle consists of four SATA Data cables, a SATA bracket for external SATA devices including two SATA ports and a Molex port for power. The bracket comes with two additional SATA Data cables and two SATA Power cables to fully use it. You can of course use the SATA Data cables on internal SATA drives. GIGABYTE includes comprehensive manuals for the motherboard, for the Smart 6 and a Quick Install Guide to help you get started. The Silent Hybrid-pipe module is designed to take the heat from the chipset and transfer it outside of the case via a heatpipe method. To install it, simply remove the two diagonal screws from the water block atop the NF200 and PEX8608 chips’ heatsink and remove the water block, apply thermal grease to the surface of the heatsink, place the SilentPipe module atop the NF200 and PEX8608 chips’ heatink and screw it into place. The last step is to secure the Hybrid Silent-Pipe to the case. Contents:
