ASUS Z8NA-D6C Server Motherboard Review Intel Xeon e5504 CPUs

Intel Xeon e5504 CPUs

In order to test this new motherboard out I decided to use the motherboard test platform for two reasons. We use Cinebench which is multi-processor aware and wPrime which also is multi-CPU aware. The results in the two tests show a marked improvement over the Core i5 750 on a P55 chipset even though the CPUs have less cache and a lower clock speed. This shows the benefit of having a dual CPU system when the application supports it. Server computers really don’t require 3dmark Vantage but I ran that benchmark in Windows 7 to show performance with the system.
