GIGABYTE uses a modified version of the Phoenix Award BIOS on their motherboards. The main menu is split into Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T), Standard CMOS Features, Advanced BIOS Features, Integrated Peripherals, Power Management Setup, PC Health Status, Load Fail Safe Defaults, Load Optimized Defaults, Set Supervisor and User Password, and Security Chip Configuration.

The Standard CMOS Features is where you set the Date, Time, detect the HDDS and Drive A. Note that if you have SATA HDDs in a RAID array they won’t be detected. Advanced BIOS Features is where you set the Hard Disk Boot Priority, the Quick Boot, the Boot Device order, SMART, Init Display First, Limit CPUID Max, and Full Screen LOGO. Integrated Peripherals is where you enable USB, LAN, and SATA RAID. Here is also where you can enable the SATA 6 Gb/second interface on the drives and USB 3.0.
Most of the tweaking on the board will be done in the MIT or Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker utility. Here you can set various settings. The MIT menu is split into MIT Current Setup, Advanced Frequency Settings, and Advanced Memory Settings, Advanced Voltage Settings, and Miscellaneous settings. MIT Current Status will provide information on CPU memory frequencies parameters currently set. Here is a chart with the important features:
