ASUS packages the P6T7 WS Supercomputer in their standard purple box they use for Intel based motherboards. The front of the box has the CPUs supported including the Nehalem based Xeon processors, support for NVIDIA's CUDA, SLI, and CrossfireX logos. The right hand column has a list of the main features including 50000 hour 100% Japan-made Solid Capacitors, 16+2 Phase Power, EPU-6, and Express Gate.

The top flap opens up giving a detailed look at the main features of the board including descriptions of each feature. The rear of the box has the Specification chart listing what's inside the box and a picture of the motherboard with labeled features of the board. Also present on the back of the box is the contact information for ASUS around the world. The board has a 3-year limited warranty. Opening the box we find the accessories lay neatly over a paper insert with the motherboard below that.

The hardware bundle consists of everything to fully support the motherboard, including SAS DATA cables, 6 SATA cables, a 2-port USB 2.0/1 Port Firewire bracket, the I/O shield, and a 3-way SLI bridge, a 2-way SLI bridge, the Q-Connector and the G.P. Diagnostic card. The card sports a Power button, a Reset button and a Diagnostic LED that indicates the current system status. Software on the Driver CD includes Norton's Internet Security 2009 OEM version, ASUS specific software including PC Probe II, TurboV, ASUS Update and ASUS Ai Suite.

So what are the workstation specific features of the ASUS P6T7 WS Supercomputer? Workstation specific features include: Seven PCIe x16 slots, a G.P. Diagnosis card, and the ASUS SASsaby cards, ASUS WS Diag LED, ASUS WS Heartbeat and SAS onboard. The board supports up to four dual-GPU graphics cards so up to four HD 4870 x2s or four GTX295 cards can be installed on the motherboard at the same time. The G.P. Diagnosis card serves the same function as onboard Power, Reset, and Diagnosis code LED. The ASUS SASsaby card adds more SAS expansion to the motherboard.
