The Gigabyte board is the third AM3 board to hit our test bench. The test series has been updated with the x264 benchmark to reflect HD encoding tasks. At the time the first AM3 motherboard was put on the review bench the Phenom II X4 810 was the fastest CPU available. While newer CPUs including the 955 and 945 have been released, the 810 is still a good indicator of performance as it has 4 cores operating at 2.66GHz.
