ASRock uses an orange box for the packaging of their A780GMH/128M motherboard. On the front cover is the name of the board and the ASRock logo, the supported CPUs, AOD ACC support, and features list of the motherboard. The rear of the board has a list of the prominent features of the motherboard and a description of those features and a list of awards from various websites on their boards.

Opening the box, we find that ASRock has taken a minimalist approach to the hardware bundle with two SATA Data cables, a SATA Power cable, the IDE cable, and the IO Shield. ASRock generally sells their boards for less than the high-end makers do and this makes the bundle acceptable in terms of hardware as most new PSUs have SATA Data and Power cables already. There are two Driver CDs, one for Windows Vista and the other for Windows XP.

ASRock has a feature called Instant Boot. This uses the Microsoft Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) to set the computer into S3 or S4 mode when you shut off the computer. Turning on the computer returns the computer to full operating mode from hibernation. This saves a lot of energy compared to running the computer on full-time and allows the computer to have a clean OS start compared to resuming from normal S3 or S4 modes.

ASRock's Intelligent Energy Saver allows for reduced power consumption when using Phenom /Phenom II processors. The A780GMH/128M motherboard implements AMD PSI (Power State Indicator) specification that disables extra phases when the system is at light loading. This can save up to 48% power versus a motherboard that doesn't support it. ASRock includes their OC Tuner to easily overclock the CPU. There are four menus in this application, Overclocking, Voltage Control, Hardware Monitor, and System Monitor.
