In this day and age of every motherboard manufacturer doing their best to differentiate themselves from the competition ECS has gone above and beyond the call of duty in their packaging of the motherboard. The board comes in a black box that has a flap with Velcro on the flap to hold it together. But ECS goes further than this, upon opening the box, the motherboard is in a recessed half of the box, the other side of the box has the accessories and other parts of the bundle. That box is also recessed, fitting together like a puzzle.

ECS chose to include cables for everything on the system including the external SATA cable. They generously offer six SATA Data cables, meaning that you can fully take advantage of the ports on the board. A 2 port USB with Firewire bracket round out the hardware bundle of the X58B-A motherboard, bringing the total supported out of the box on the board to eight and two respectively.

The Driver CD contains the drivers for ECS's board. Note that the drivers on ECS's website are all dated from August of this year but they fully support the X58 chipset. The Driver CD also contains Intel's Remote Wake Technology which allows you to wake up your computer from a remote computer, Intel's Trusted Platform Module, Intel's Viiv software and Yahoo Toolbar. All of these applications are useful additions, though the addition of anti-virus software and or backup software is always welcome.
