ASUS P6T Deluxe Motherboard Review

The recent launch of the Core i7 CPU series and the X58 chipset to support it has redefined performance on the Intel side of things in significant ways. With every launch of a new CPU and motherboard chipset there's a slew of releases from the major motherboard manufacturers to support the new chipsets. The biggest manufacturer of motherboards in the world is ASUS, a company based in Taiwan. ASUS motherboards are a favorite of many hardware enthusiasts including Doc and myself, with our main computers using ASUS motherboards for years.

So what do you get when you combine the best new motherboard chipset with the best motherboard manufacturer on the planet in the form of ASUS? ASUS has announced several new motherboards based upon the X58 chipset including the Rampage II Extreme and the motherboard on today's test bench, the ASUS P6T Deluxe. With this being the second X58 motherboard we have reviewed, it should be an interesting review. ASUS has included a slew of new features exclusive to their chipsets so let's get started and see what the new motherboard is all about.
