Gigabyte’s board comes in a large blue box reminiscent of their X48T-DQ6 board. The board comes in a plastic shell instead of the anti-static bag. Next to the plastic shell is a white box with all of the accessories that come inside the box. Gigabyte has a comprehensive features listing on the back of the box so you know what you’re purchasing.  Box  Top of box  Motherboard in plastic  Bundle Gigabyte’s EP45-DQ6 comes with the standard IDE and FDD cables, but went out of their way to provide ten SATA cables to make full utilization of the SATA ports on this board to good use. There is also a 2-port Firewire to add support for Firewire to the board. A cool addition to the bundle was stickers for the DES and Gigabyte. While not serving a practical function they do look cool. Gigabyte offers a complete manual for their motherboard as well as a Hardware installation guide and a Intel Boxed Processor installation guide for total newbies. The Driver CD comes with Gigabyte’s Xpress Install program which automatically installs the motherboard drivers and a copy of Norton’s Internet Security which offers anti-virus software and a software Firewall.
