ASUS Republic Of Gamers Maximus Formula II Review

ASUS has long been a favorite among motherboard users offering tons of features lots of room for overclocking and pricing that befits their status as one of the top motherboard companies in terms of user satisfaction in the world especially among the hardcore enthusiasts looking for the best. Our main computers outside of the testing lab all have ASUS motherboards in them.

Intel’s new P45 chipset has spawned a mass of motherboards based upon it including no fewer than six ASUS motherboards including the P5Q Deluxe that I reviewed very recently and the Maximus II Formula II motherboard review I’m writing today. The key features of the new chipset include support for the new ICH10R Southbridge and CrossfireX capability. Their Maximus Formula board based upon the X38 chipset is one of my favorites as it had many features and was based upon the best Intel chipset of the time, the X38.
