Gigabyte’s board is a DDR3 board, meaning that the older DDR2 platform is not being used in this review but the newer DDR3 platform. The board was tested with the fastest Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 which is the latest and greatest from Intel. The rest of the components are the same as are the tests on the board. As we move forward, it is likely time to change the video card in the near future and change out CPUBench as the test is targeted to the Athlon XP CPU timeframe.
