Our test platform for DDR2 motherboards hasn’t changed in the last year or so, while the test platform for DDR3 is on the newest Intel CPU, the QX9770. As the P45 doesn’t officially support this CPU or the FSB1600, it makes little sense to change the test platform for DDR2 motherboards at this time. The P45 chipset should perform slower than the X48 chipset or X38 chipsets with DDR2 as those are Intel’s high end chipsets.
