Intel’s release of the P45 motherboard chipset has brought many boards onto the market sporting the new chipset as with every motherboard chipset Intel makes. The X48 had a ton of motherboards released based upon it and the P45 is the less expensive brother to that chipset based upon Intel’s 65 nanometer process.
ASUS is a favorite among hardware enthusiasts as their boards offer many extras that aren’t found on the mundane motherboards like good overclocking, a good bundle and tweaks that allow the overclocker to work with their motherboards. The board I have today on the review bench is the ASUS P5Q Deluxe, a board based upon Intel’s P45 chipset.
