Hellgate London is a game that touts DirectX 10 effects. The game ran ok on the 8200 as long as DirectX 9.0 mode was used as the frame rate on DX10 mode was hardly in the teens. I would suggest playing the game in DX9.0 mode on the integrated graphics, as it is enjoyable at Medium settings and 1024x768 resolutions throughout.
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare is the latest COD game for the PC with the fifth game recently announced. A DirectX 9.0 game, COD4 should play ok on the integrated 8200 graphics. The game played well up to 1024x768 with no AA and no AF enabled. Turning on 4x AA and 16x AF dropped the framerate below ten, making it unplayable. The integrated GeForce graphics rendered this game great with no artifacts visible on-screen.
Crysis stresses the video cards like no other game available. The integrated graphics of the ECS 8200A CAN play this game but not at a level that you would enjoy. The ECS 8200A Black Edition played this game in DirectX 10 mode totally unplayable as the game would have framerates under 2 in most cases. Setting the game to minimal settings I was able to play the game with the integrated graphics with ok framerates.
Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars is the latest game in the Command and Conquer series to hit the computer. This is the type of game that’s perfect for the integrated graphics on the 8200. The game played well with no slowdowns unless a massive tank attack was under way. C+C3 is enjoyable on the 8200 integrated graphics just like it should be.
