If you expect to play the latest games like Crysis or run the latest benchmark like 3DMark Vantage on the integrated graphics without some compromise as to the resolution or the settings you have the wrong idea on integrated graphics. Integrated graphics, even the most powerful integrated graphics like on the 780G chipset, are meant for casual gaming and business users.
I felt obligated to run the Crysis with the integrated graphics of the ECS board. The game does not run well when using High settings on the video card menu. It does run, which is a lot more than can be said of the latest Intel X3100 integrated offering. Intel has not as of yet released their official DirectX 10 supporting driver for their latest integrated graphics so you’re stuck in DX9 mode at the moment. Command and Conquer 3 Kane’s Wrath is the latest release from EA Games in a long running series of games dating back to the 1990s, Kane’s Wrath has taken the C+C world to new heights with an entire game based on the Brotherhood of Nod. This game played ok on the integrated HD3200 with frame rates in the 13-14 fps range. As a Real Time Strategy game this is acceptable.
