The preview we did last month for the Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 was interesting as the chipset wasn’t released yet and the board has just hit retail stores. Today I’m writing the full review after testing the board through its paces and giving the board a second look as Gigabyte has officially released the board and specifications. It should be an interesting first look at the Intel X48 chipset.

Intel has officially set the launch for their QX9770 CPUs and X48 motherboard chipset in mid-March meaning that this board is launching before Intel has released their chipset. The board is on Gigabyte’s website and has been previewed and reviewed on a couple of other websites meaning that the board is good to go as far as reviewing it.
