ASUS P5E3 Deluxe/WiFi-AP@n Motherboard Review :: Conclusion
There are an abundance of new advances and available feature options with this board and it actually has so many features it could easily have a score over our 100 point limit. The notable features include support for DDR3 memory, 3 PCI Express x16 slots (2 2.0 slots), support for Intel’s Yorkfield CPUs and the ability to overclock like no tomorrow, we reached a stable 4.2GHz on air cooling alone. Performance with this board is to be expected from an Asus enthusiast board gered for high performance. With the limited number of X38 boards tested so far, the P5E3 comes in at the top in nearly every benchmark. The high overclock also helps this board garner the The included extras like the copper heatsink that covers the entire CPU area and the EPU to help save power bring Asus’s new board into the Editor's Choice award it so richly deserves. Premium features and premium performance comes at a price. The P5E3 is available online today at some online retailers for upwards of $300 USD. The hardware enthusiast wanting the best is willing to pay the price as you get all of the features you would want, the performance and overclocking you desire and more. There is also a Wi-Fi-AP@N board that sports the same feature set but includes 802.11n support out of the box without additional purchase.
