Hardware-wise, EVGA has gone the extra mile with their 680i motherboard bundle. There are six SATA ports on the board, and EVGA provides enough SATA cables and SATA power cables to support every port on the board completely. The inclusion of a 4-port USB bracket is very welcome, as that means that the board supports 8 interfaces right out of the box. Rounded FDD and IDE cables are space savers in a computer system and an additional added bonus.

One thing I find lacking in the EVGA 680i board bundle is the lack of a solid software bundle. The driver CD contains the drivers for the motherboard, the onboard sound and the SATA controller drivers. EVGA makes up for this in their support and the inclusion of a SATA F6 driver floppy. Many manufacturers either force you to boot off the drivers CD or make the floppy separately and this is bad form as it forces the user through a hurdle that is not necessary, and if they only have the one machine they are working on they are royally screwed.

EVGA support is second to none in the industry for their video cards and their motherboards. EVGA offers a Lifetime Warranty on all of their retail motherboards with a prefix of AR, AX, BR, BX, DR, DX, FR, SG, SL or S2. Most motherboard manufacturers offer a one or two year warranty on motherboards. EVGA is unique in offering lifetime warranty on their motherboards in the industry. Further, EVGA offers Toll-Free Technical Support on their products as well and 24hr technical help. This is an area that this company excels in, and this is very good for the end-user.
