abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD Motherboard Review :: Bundle
The bundle for the abit F-190HD motherboard is typical of motherboard bundles in most ways. The included four SATA cables allow the new owner to fully use the SATA ports on the board. The HDMI to DVI adapter is useful as you can attach a LCD monitor with DVI connection to that port. The software bundle on the abit board is typical fare for the mainstream this is targeting. abit's high end boards all have F6 floppy disks to facilitate installation of SATA disk drives. This board does not come with the floppy, but requires you to either make the disk beforehand or make it by booting off the driver CD. The driver CD contains the drivers for the motherboard. The driver CD is split into Drivers, Manual, Utility and abit Utility. One thing to note is that the onboard graphics card requires Microsoft .Net to operate its CCC control panel. The abit Utility area has abit's EQ utility which monitors Temperature, Voltage and Fan Speeds of the system. ATI's Xpress 1250 chipset uses their Catalyst Control Center as a Control Panel applet. ATI releases a new Catalyst driver every month or so meaning that if there's a game issue they will likely fix that issue within a driver release or two. The 1250 supports ATI's AVIVO technology, which is their video playback software. Contents:Discuss This Article
