Performance on the P5W64 WS Professional board was a little on the low side. The board performed in the same class as the other Intel 975X boards we've had on the test platform but seemed to be a bit slower in virtually every benchmark. The purpose of the board is for workstation use, meaning stability is more important than a single percentage point performance difference. I also believe that the Northbridge is limiting the PCI Express lanes to x8 instead of x16, meaning that that may be where the extra performance is going to.
