abit really went all out with their hardware bundle. The inclusion of a long FDD cable means that the position of the FDD port is not a concern, as it'll reach the top-mounted floppy disk drives in a full-tower ATX case. The inclusion of 8 SATA cables means that you won't be needing to purchase new ones unless you need to for SATA ports 5,6,7. Strangely, abit also included a SLI connection bridge with the packaging. As the board does not support SLI mode, this is an intriguing addition.

One of the issues I have with companies like ASUS and GIGABYTE is that they do not include a F6 driver floppy for SATA HDD installation. The necessity of having to boot from the driver CD and making a driver floppy would be alleviated if the companies included a FDD that would cost a few cents. abit included driver floppies for both SATA controllers.

The driver CD includes the drivers, abit's uGuru utility, and a few utilities like Microsoft's DirectX 9.0c and Adobe Reader software. Some manufacturers include things like anti-virus software, DVD authoring software, partition software, but abit decided to go a bit on the austere for their included software. uGuru is a chip that's on the board that monitors temperatures, voltages, overclocking in both the BIOS and in Windows. FanEQ monitors the fan speeds and shutdown temperatures and voltages. Abit EQ monitors the temperatures.
