The hardware bundle on the AW8D is extensive, enough to fully utilize the features of the motherboard and the included peripherals. 6 SATA cables match the ports on the board, allowing the user to have up to 6 SATA devices attached. The USB/Firewire bracket brings the total of each to 6 USB 2.0 ports and 2 Firewire ports. Strangely, ABIT decided to include an SLI bridge and a bracket. As the AW8D does not support SLI in any way this is very strange.

Software wise, ABIT put a lot of thought into what to include. The main software besides the drivers is ABIT Guru. ABIT Guru is their overclocking utility for Windows. From here you can overclock the CPU FSB either via the pre-set settings or custom settings. Temperature readings, voltage readings and more can be viewed from this menu. Using uGURU I was able to overclock to Normal mode or 212MHz.
