The BIOS on the P5WD2-E Premium is based upon American Megatrend's AMI BIOS with a few ASUS specific modifications. RAM can be modified by manually adjusting the ram's timings by setting the DRAM SPD to disabled, and your options are; CAS# Latency: 3 - 6; RAS# Precharge: 2 - 6; RAS# to CAS#: 2 - 6; RAS# Activate: 1 - 15; Write Recovery: 2 - 5.

The Jumperfree Configuration setting in the BIOS allows you to change the FSB of the CPU when the AI setting is at manual. You can also automatically overclock the CPU in from 5-30%. The 670 CPU we use in testing isn't much of a overclocker, but it overclocked to 10% without issue.. Memory frequency support is from DDR2 400-DDR2 800MHz.

If you want to set the CPU frequency manually you can set it from 100MHz-450MHz FSB. The PCI Express frequency can be set from 90-150MHz in 1MHz jumps. DRAM voltage can be set from 1.80-2.40. FSB Termination voltage can be set from 1.2-1.5V. The MCH chipset voltage can be set from 1.5-1.65V. Finally the ICH Chipset voltage can be set from 1.5 or 1.2V.
