EVGA nForce4 SLI Edition Motherboard Review

From a features point of view, the EVGA nForce4 SLI Edition is an excellent board. With onboard Power and Reset buttons leading the way and SLI capabilities, the board scored a 35 on the Features chart. One thing I'm going to deviate here is give EVGA extra points on the Features for their Lifetime Warranty on motherboards. It's a unique thing; no other motherboard manufacturer in the world offers a Lifetime Warranty on their motherboard.

Performance on the board was ok, not the fastest SLI board, but also not the slowest. Stability was top-notch as well. EVGA is retailing this board online for $199, a bit pricey in the scheme of things. However, they have another rather unique promotion going on with this board. It is likely that unless you've bought an nForce4 board in the last year, you are still stuck with an AGP video card and upgrading to the PCI Express video card will require a new card. Online retailers like Newegg, ZipZoomFly, TigerDirect, and NCIX are offering this motherboard with the purchase of an EVGA GEFORCE 7800GT. This combination makes for a killer deal as you will only likely need a new CPU and you have a kick-ass gaming system.
