AMD will soon move to a 940-pin Socket for their CPUs called M2 (early next year). Until that time, the Socket 939 4000+ is still one of the fastest AMD Athlon 64 CPUs out there, and suitable for our testing. This will likely be the last review we will use HL2 on, as the demo code has changed three times since HL2 launch, and it's impossible to keep a repeatable benchmark across each one.
