ASRock's board is an interesting board to be sure. Not many Socket 939 boards exist today that can take a M2 CPU. The idea of a “Future CPU slot” is an attractive option, as you don't need to get a new motherboard to upgrade to the next generation AMD CPUs.
Further, with both an AGP and a PCI Express slot present on the board, you can use your old AGP card until you have a PCI Express card to drive the graphics. Feature-wise, the extra features make up for the shortcomings on the board. 3 SATA ports is simply below-par in today's market when the minimum supported by the chipsets of nForce4, RS480, or VIA's and SIS's chipsets are 4. The positioning of this board as an $80 retail board, makes this a lot easier to stomach as its light on your wallet.
