ECS KN1 Extreme Motherboard Review

ECS (Elitegroup Computer Systems) is one of the biggest computer component manufacturers in the world today. ECS sold over 24 million motherboards in 2002, making it the largest manufacturer of motherboards based in Taiwan. Founded in 1987, ECS makes motherboards, graphics cards, laptops, and other computer components based upon chipsets from Intel, VIA, NVIDIA and other chipset manufacturers.

NVIDIA first entered the motherboard chipset market in 2001 with the release of the nForce chpset.Today, NVIDIA is the number one manufacturer of AMD chipsets in the world. NVIDIA announced a new lineup of motherboard chipsets late last year. nForce4 was situated for the value market, nForce4 Ultra for the mainstream market and nForce4 SLI targeted for the enthusiast market.
