Stability was excellent. At no time during testing of the motherboard did we have issues as to unexpected crashes or freezes. I fooled around a bit with overclocking the board. The GA-8N-SLI board was able to overclock to a 240MHz FSB with no problems on a known overclockable CPU. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to overclock our 3.4GHz P4EE much on the board due to the CPU not being very overclockable. The nForce4 for Intel SLI platform is an excellent one for overclockers.

GIGABYTE uses the standard Phoenix Award BIOS found on many motherboards today. One thing about their BIOS is the lack of memory tweaks available on the general BIOS screen. To enable the overclocking aspects of the motherboard you need to turn on Top Performance by hitting Ctrl+F1. Motherboard Intelligent Tweaker allows you to change various settings in the BIOS. You can adjust the following settings in MIB: FSB speed (100-325 MHz or 400MHz-1.3GHz due to the quad-pumped bus), Memory frequency (from 400-900MHz), PCI Express frequency, LDT frequency, memory voltage (up to 0.3V), PCI Express voltage (up to 0.3V), Serial ATA voltage (up to 0.3V) and CPU voltage (0.2125V).
