Setup of the board went mostly without incident. One thing about NVIDIA based motherboards is they are usually fairly reliable and don't have problems with compatibility or stability. I was able to run the gamut of our tests including our burn-in tests without error. Compatibility was very good, as I tested a variety of video cards, and other devices without problems.  Cooling Fan  Cooling Fan  4-pin Layout of the board is truly outstanding in many respects. One pet peeve of mine on many boards is the placement of the memory slots right below the video card slot. Chaintech moved the memory slots to below the CPU cooling area, allowing easy removal and insertion of memory without removing the video card first. Another nice placement is the 4 pin power connector. Too often, the motherboard manufacturer places it above the cooling area of the CPU, meaning you get poor airflow in the case. Chaintech includes a active cooling fan on the MCP chipset.
     The software bundle of the board is outstanding. I use Norton's Antivirus on my personal computer for my antivirus needs. Doc uses Panda, but I prefer Norton's. ImageIt is a program that's similar in scope and ability as Norton's Ghost. With this program you can make an image of your hard drive and restore it from that image file. The included version is 3.0, while Wasay has released 4.0. Pro Magic Plus allows you to restore your system to a previous time. In many respects it is similar to Goback and Windows System Restore.   Chaintech did not include an outstanding hardware bundle with the VNF4 Ultra. For the target market price, the bundle is sufficient to get you started. You get the motherboard, a 80-pin IDE cable, a floppy drive cable, the back plate, a SATA cable and power cable, and the manual. This is the bare minimum I would expect from a motherboard bundle. On the other hand, this motherboard is targeted at the under $100 price range and is currently selling online for $97, nearly the same price as a regular nForce4 board from many manufacturers.
