WinFast used to be a model name for Leadtek products but it seems that Foxconn has taken control over the name. What puzzles me is why Foxconn didn't just make up a new name. With the WinFast name, Foxconn released a series of AMD motherboards based on various chipsets. These chipsets include solutions from Nvidia, VIA, and even SiS. Foxconn is ready to provide enthusiasts a wide variety of options.

I've never been a big fan of SiS chipsets. True that these chipsets do pack some power and can keep up with the competition but their lack of support is a real big disappointment. The ECS K7S5A motherboard was extremely popular during its time mainly because it packed quite the performance at an affordable price. The motherboard used the budget oriented SiS 735 chipset.

Today's offering from Foxconn is the WinFast 755FXK8AA-8EKRS motherboard. The motherboard is based on the SiS 755FX and is to be considered a high performance motherboard at a low price. Many hardware sites have already reviewed the motherboard and seem to like it. Today, you'll have my opinions and whether budget enthusiasts should bother investing in this motherboard.
