ECS 915P-A Motherboard Review Bundle

Bundle

  • 915P-A motherboard
  • 1 SATA Cable
  • 1 SATA Power Cable
  • 1 back plate
  • 1 floppy disk cable
  • 1 IDE cable
  • Manual
  • PC-Cillin Anti Virus software

The motherboard hardware bundle is extremely Spartan by today's standards. The first thing I noticed when checking out what came in the box was one SATA cable and one power connector. With 4 SATA connectors on the board, this is extremely skimpy, especially if you have more than one SATA drive on your system. The inclusion of one floppy cable and one IDE cable is sufficient as there is only one IDE connector and one floppy connector on the board.

Software wise, the board comes with Trend Micro's Internet Security package. This software is one I actually use in everyday use. ECS includes a 30 day trial version of Trend Micro's Internet Security Version 11. If you want to upgrade to the full version that doesn't expire after 30 days, you can register it online and pay a fee. If the software isn't updated within 30 days, the functions of the IS package will be disabled.
