The board uses an American Megatrends (AMI) BIOS that seems to be fairly robust and easy to work around overclocking with. By default, the board has A.I. Overclocking enabled. If you set it to manual, you can set the FSB frequency from 100 MHz-400MHz, the DRAM frequency from 400, 533, or 600MHz (yes this board supports DDR600 when it becomes available), change the PCI Express frequency, change the PCI clock synchronization mode from the CPU FSB, 33.33MHz or Auto, change the Spread Spectrum, memory Voltage, chipset core voltage, CPU Vcore voltage and FSB Termination Voltage.

Or you can let ASUS's built-in AI do it automatically for you. ASUS has something called A.I. Proactive that will intelligently monitor your system status and try overclocking the system automatically by the readings it takes. There's also utilities that ASUS includes on the driver's CD which helps in facilitating easy monitoring of the system.

The first utility ASUS includes is something called PC Probe. This gives a wide-ranging amount of information that includes CPU temperature, motherboard temperature, the speed of the attached fans, the voltage on the 12V line, the 5V line, the 3.3V line and the Vcore, and the settings for the same. The information tab of PC Probe gives you total hard drive space used and available, memory used and available, and general information about your system's BIOS, memory and other components.
