Intel D925XECV2 Motherboard Review

Now that Intel has kicked up the speed of the system bus to 1066MHz they seem to be getting a better-designed motherboard out to the market than the 915/925 launch offered. Another thing that really comes into play is parts availability, a factor that has significantly changed since the introduction of LGA775. Now you can actually get fast low latency DDR2 memory and 16x PCI Express video cards in stores and on the www, which at first was like searching for a needle in a haystack as availability was next to nil in the worldwide market. This has helped Intel get a better hold back on the desktop market where AMD has recently been taking names at the sales counter.

The D925XECV2 motherboard is not flashy, but it can hold its own as it is very stable and user friendly. Although this board is very simple and straightforward in its design and features package it will surely be well accepted by the people who embrace products with the Intel name branded on the box. This currently is the flagship motherboard for Intel's desktop division and shows them making advances on the LGA775 platform that will take shape and further be exploited as all the major manufactures start to implement their own special features into the latest i925XE motherboards to hit the shelves. This board is adequate and has enough features for many users and will be fine for the office or general usage environments. Intel has improved their LGA775 platform and that in itself is good news for those who are die hard fans of the Intel family of products.
