The whole LGA775 platform is still in its infancy, but of the boards so far reviewed this and its fellow 925 counterpart both proved to be very reliable and stable solutions for the new platform. Not as feature filled as a couple of the boards I have seen thus far, the GA-8GPNXP however has features that are substantial enough for it to satisfy just about every desktop jockey around. The D.S.P is a very cool feature that has yet to be done exactly like Gigabyte's and having a Wireless LAN option is also very hip. The on-board sound is very good and offers substantially more options and features that any other platform currently available and with NVIDIA shying away from hardware audio Intel has found a niche that they are definitely dominating.

I had no problems with the board in any fashion and that always goes a long way in my book. Gigabyte has strong support both in the US of A and abroad, which makes for very good customer relations and their websites are kept up pretty well to boot making BIOS and driver updates a simple task. Overall the board left me with a satisfied feeling that it can hold its own in the i915 arena and it can also almost keep neck in neck with its i925 competition. If you want a board that has solid features, is stable and does not go over the top with things you might not need such as eight channels of SATA, the Gigabyte GA-8GPNXP is a board well worth taking a look at. The board qualifies for our Editor's Choice Award and I am happy to give this board the award as it has what it takes to make into the winners circle
