Motherboard: ASUS K8V Deluxe Review

This was one fast installation process, as ASUS has laid out the board ergonomically enough making locating the proper place for all your cables and case wiring a much easier job eliminating wasted time in search of the proper connections. Some people were not too happy with where the secondary power connector was located as they felt it was too close to the power supply, but I had no problems with the board installed in the Wave Master Case from CoolerMaster and results always will vary from user to user.

All the drivers for the board come complete on the included CD so after my initial OS installation all the system drivers were installed without event. If you need to flash the BIOS for one reason or another ASUS offers two ways to update your board. EZ-flash and Live BIOS are both simple straightforward ways to update you current BIOS to the latest version. The only other small problem is the CMOS jumper, which is located a bit too close to the AGP slot and is somewhat hard to pull on and off without making contact with the VGA card.
