What we have here is one fast board my stalwart chums, as it scored a perfect 15/15 score in our performance tests and that can't be bad. As far as features go this board comes loaded with enough on-board goodies to please even the most discerning user and is overclockable enough to gain a following with the enthusiasts group as well making for a very rounded out product that should do well for them in the desktop market.

Features like ADI sound with SoundMAX 4.0 software really help make the board complete, as ADI's combination of chip technology and hardware control software are a very viable combination for the gamer or audiophile who wants compelling 6-channel digital audio options. The Promise RAID controller seems to be a winning gambit as well for ASUS, producing a much faster and robust RAID environment for the P4C800 as it surpasses Intel's ICH5-R features wise.

Worth buying you ask? Most undeniably a solid buy is to be found in the P4C800 Deluxe as it has enough of the right stuff to make it into the winner's circle of motherboards, and is fast enough to beat most of its competition in the performance arena. The board is not a real looker but it works and it works well, the BIOS options are solid as are the LAN features so there really is no bad thing about the board in any respect so I give it double thumbs up for my vote. Good job ASUS, Next comes the P4P800 folks, until then.
