Test System

  • MSI GNB Max (Granite Bay)
  • P4 2.8GHz 533MHz (Northwood)
  • 512 2x256MB Crucial PC2700 CAS 2.5
  • Base System specs

Stability was unquestionable with the GNB-Max, all setup, OS and system driver's software installed without error. All tests ran in this series were stable and ran without problems, no BSOD or other technical issues were experienced. SP1 was installed as well but did not take the time it did to download on the VIA EPIA board and overall I was satisfied with how the board ran. The torture tests passed without fail as well making the GNB-Max one very solid board.

Performance

Although not thee fastest of the fast this was still a very competitive board that scored well all around making for a well balanced performance board. Enthusiasts will be pleased by the very good 3D and Multitasking scores it was able to achieve and will find the GNB-Max to be a very solid performer.
