Stability & CompatibilityYou can review our stability/compatibility testing methods here. Test System
Our standard torture tests includes compatibility test with four PCI cards but this board has only three so I didn't install the TV card. Standard burn-in tests proved good after tweaking the memory settings. It couldn't pass it with standard settings. System froze 2 times; once on Sysmark 2001 and once on Sysmark 2002. So I can not say this motherboard is really stable. PerformanceFirst of all, don't enable on-board sound with the SoundBlaster option. The performance was horrible and it took two days two understand why. I repeated tests again and again with different BIOS settings. I couldn't guess enabling sound on a motherboard has dramatic effects. Let me show you what happens if you enable it. I wanted to see the on-board graphics performance so I compared it to a GeForce 3 card. I didn't show the Specviewperf results. They were really low, and there were color deformations when testing. On-board graphics is not meant to be for CAD-Cam applications anyway. Office and Internet application performance was close and it is good for an on-board graphics solution. I cannot say the same thing for gaming. 3DMark and Quake 3 scores were really bad. Don't try gaming over 800x600x16 bit resolution. Standard tests scores proved to be the worst scores tested.
