Stability & Compatibility

You can review our stability/compatibility testing methods here.

Test System

  • ASUS P4T533
  • Intel Pentium 4 2000 CPU (Northwood core)
  • ??????? memory
  • Swiftech MCX4000
  • Video: MSI GF3 Standard 64MB DDR SDRAM
  • CD: MSI 52X ATA33 IDE
  • Base System specs

As far as stability goes the P4T533 passed with flying colors through all of our torture tests and showed no signs of instability at any point during the testing and burn-in process. Intel seems to have produced a very solid platform by way of the 850E chipset and ASUS did a good job implementing it into the P4T533.

Performance

Performance wise the P4T533 is the second fastest RAMBUS solution to grace my lab with the Intel D850EMV2 still being the fastest board for the RAMBUS platform so far. The P4T533 Scored an 11 out of fifteen score which is not a bad score at all. 3D performance is very good as is the Windows office performance making for a well rounded board all in all.
