Installation of the 845G MAX offers the user no resistance as the board comes plug and play ready and auto-detects your CPU and memory frequency by SPD. There are six mounting holes for securing the board to the chassis and washers are not needed as the board has ample space around each hole to insure a ground free install.
The AGP slot has a tab for securing the VGA card but with the card installed the first two DIMM slots are blocked making removal of the VGA card necessary to change out the RAM. Overall this was a very easy to take on task that should take about fifteen minutes to install into your enclosure. If you have never done this before take a read here first and it will help get you jump-started in your quest.
