My final estimation of this board is that it is a great product for the set it up and forget about it crowd but I find it lacks many of the features the enthusiasts of this world are looking for. Stability is not questionable in any respect on the D850EMV2 as it is rock solid and offers the user a platform that doesn't need a lot of tinkering to keep up time at a maximum.

I cannot give the board an Editor's Choice due to its low feature set but I still want to say this was a very high quality motherboard all the same. It does offer the user ample features for most desktop environments minus the overclocking ability. RAMBUS used to make me flinch when I looked at the price of the stuff however with rapidly falling memory prices that is not a concern anymore as RDRAM can be purchased at a very reasonable rate now.

Would I personally buy this board?? Yes, for a stable multimedia desktop board that is very easy to use, this is a very reliable and straightforward product. The Sound Max with SPX audio solution is also top notch and sounds great in both games and music thus eliminating the need for any additional sound solutions to be implemented or bought for professional level audio to be achieved. The lack of a LAN card is a minor drawback and should have been included along with the on-board sound and not as a this or that only solution. The bottom line is this folks, if you want simplicity and stability and do not care for overclocking this may be just what you are looking for in a quality desktop motherboard.
