Stability & Compatibility

Test System

  • ABIT IT7 Motherboard
  • Intel Pentium 4 2000 CPU (Northwood core)
  • 256MB DDR333 PC2700 Crucial DDR memory
  • Base System specs

I was expecting a lot of test re-installations, IRQ issues, and a lot of wasted time. But I was totally wrong. It worked like a charm. I ran the tests and that was it. I overclocked it without any problems. I populated all 4 PCI slots and our standard video card. No problems at all. I was amazed that this feature packed legacy free board could be so stable.

Performance

The performance was not the best but 6 out of 15 with all those features on it satisfied me. Performance is important but don't forget the difference between maximum and minimum performance with the same settings are about 3-5%. For this board it may be 1-2% comparing it to the top performer. Not bad.
