ECS is a company that has been around the block a few times in this industry. Their relationship with rogue company PC Chips has never been quit clear here in the United States and that may be a factor which has kept them from making a dent in our enthusiasts market. We know ECS as a company known for making cost effective desktop solutions that can be found at most system houses due to their low prices.

We haven't seen one of ECS's motherboards here at Motherboards.org in quite a spell even though their last board got an Editor's Choice, which is very strange. We have been accosted in our forums for not doing enough reviews on ECS products and this is due to the fact that they have not sent us any boards. Most of the top companies send at least one board a month to be reviewed. This has not been the case with ECS.

The K7VMA was sent to us over eight months ago and was a really good board for the budget user and did quite well in the low-end market. We have once again received a board from the folks at ECS in the form of the K7S6A. The K7S6A is an Athlon based motherboard aimed again at the budget market. Is the K7S6A another award-winning combination or just another face in the crowd? Read on my friends and find out!
