I cannot believe this board. According to Doc's 845 results and my results, it is the best performer. Of course default clock speed is a little bit pumped, but results surpassed even the equally pumped boards. I saw green, brown blue and red boards but I haven't seen a purple one before. If you have those fluorescent or neon illuminated glass sided cases, it would look really cool. This board is really good for overclocking too. You can change AGP and memory voltages. No active cooling on chipset though. There is a new feature called Redstorm, for overclocking in the BIOS. I t can automatically detect the best overclocked frequency for the system. It didn't work well. After a few system crashes I quit. It is better to overclock the board as usual. By the way when waiting for the BIOS menu, it writes "waitting". My native language is not English so, who am I to complain. But it is funny to see a typo in the BIOS.
This is one of the first motherboards with VIA VT8233A Southbridge. That capital "A" adds UDMA 133 support for the standard IDE controller. Auto speed-down/shutdown on fan failure or auto speed-down/shutdown on CPU Heat alarm was there though. They would do better if they supplied the additional bracket with two ports. And I couldn't read the model number and motherboard version on the board.
Manuals, drivers, and the software package is very good. PC-cilin 2000, Partition Magic 6.0, Drive Image 4.0 and Virtual Drive are valuable software. When responding to my email request they answered my question incorrectly, which made me think twice, but the sum of the package and support scoring even surpassed 10 points. So it is OK. They promised to correct the problem.
This board was a good player in our game and surprised us with its color and performance. 3rd place is fair and it fought really well among motherboard giants. When we look at the features, first and second boards did a little bit better.
