Analog Devices SoundMAX with SPX :: Introduction

Years ago there were many players in the sound card chipset business and you had a multitude of choices and all sounded basically about the same. Then along came Creative labs, changing the way we listen to our games and music. Over the years the dominance of Creative Labs virtually wiped out almost all their competition in the high end multimedia desktop arena.

Well get ready folks because Intel, always a pioneer of new ideas and technology, has entered the sound card game and have adopted a high end solution from Analog Devices called SoundMAX with SPX as part of their on-board audio solutions for many of their desktop boards. It is an amazing sounding solution that can seriously compete with the Creative product.

SoundMAX with SPX from Analog Devices is a new technology and is currently being licensed to various developers and fabrication houses for use in many different onboard and CNR (Communication Network Riser) sound solutions that should be available for distribution last quarter of 2001 or early first quarter 2002.
